Attendorn, April 21, 2026 (w&p) – THE FLAG gains a proven hospitality expert in Marcus Löwe for the newly created role of Executive Director of Hospitality. Effective May 1, 2026, he will be responsible for Hospitality at group level and will report directly to Dr. Eike Muhr, Managing Director of THE FLAG.
The position is a key component of THE FLAG's long‑term Strategy 2030, launched under the slogan „Growing together: MORE US. MORE YOU. MORE HOME.“ The objective is to leverage economies of scale more effectively across the group, bundle cross‑functional topics, and further develop hospitality expertise both strategically and operationally across all locations.
Marcus Löwe brings many years of experience in leading and developing hospitality‑related business models. A qualified hotel management professional and real estate economist (IREBS), he most recently served as COO and Authorized Signatory at ipartment GmbH in Cologne. Since November 2019, he was responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of a portfolio of 17 properties with 1,280 serviced apartments. In addition, he led numerous department heads and established clear leadership structures within the company. Prior to this, he held other senior roles, including Head of Sales at ipartment.
