THE FLAG  builds in Linz am Rhein

THE FLAG
Senior Living Linz with a view of the Rhine

Today, the family-owned company THE FLAG laid the foundation stone for another building for assisted and senior living. The new location in Linz am Rhein will feature 75 apartments with services for the elderly. Linz is one of currently eight cities in which the family-owned company is developing projects in the Senior Living segment.

Dr. Eike Muhr, Managing Director of THE FLAG, said: "The high-quality apartments for our active seniors are located in Linz in a direct, wonderful Rhine location - with a walking path along the Rhine directly connected to the property". In his address, Helmut Muthers, first alderman of the city of Linz am Rhein, pointed out the increasing demand for apartments suitable for the elderly: "With specialized apartments, we can offer the elderly in Linz another perspective to live in their desired location and with support in everyday life."

In the experience of THE FLAG group of companies, when older people want to move, they know quite well what their new home should look like. "Here it's about factors that determine the quality of living, so things like view, accessibility, short distances. But it is also important for future tenants to have a contact person on site, to find connections with like-minded people and to be able to book additional services," says Muhr. Ultimately, most seniors are interested in a new, self-determined home at a reasonable price outside the luxury segment.

In Linz, THE FLAG is located on the banks of the Rhine. In just a few minutes, residents can be in the old town or at Linz train station, which is currently being equipped with barrier-free access. The 75 apartments with a total living space of around 3,860 m² will all have a kitchenette and barrier-free bathrooms. Future tenants can also move in with their own furniture if they wish. There will be 53 two-room apartments and 22 one-room apartments. Most of the apartments have a loggia or balcony.

Assisted living

At the new location in Linz, residents will also be able to book additional services on request. They range from food and beverage service, cleaning and laundry service to cosmetic treatments and outpatient care. THE FLAG Linz am Rhein is distinguished by its view of the Rhine, which residents can enjoy on the spacious roof terrace, among other things. Services such as a personal contact person on site, minor janitor services, support in coping with everyday life, events, help with administrative activities and much more are already included in the rent.

Above-ground construction began in April 2022, and THE FLAG expects the building to be completed in the fall of 2023. Those interested in the project can keep up to date with the project through a newsletter at www.senior-linz.de.

Other sites under development

THE FLAG company undertakes planning as well as development of its projects and later operates the homes itself. In the Senior Living segment, THE FLAG is currently developing homes at eight different locations. Here, a total of over 500 residential units with a living space of around 27,000 m² are planned. Three of the eight planned projects are being developed at foreign locations.
