Another home for seniors:
one of eight locations currently under development

THE FLAG a company specialising in hospitality, is building a home for senior citizens with 50 apartments in Dülmen. It is one of eight projects currently being developed by the family-owned company in the senior living segment.

Dr. Eike Muhr, Managing Director of THE FLAG, says: "With Senior Living, we want to offer older people a perspective to live in their place of choice. That's why a city like Dülmen is also very suitable for us as a location for project development." THE FLAG Senior Living is also aimed at senior citizens who are looking for a new, self-determined place to live in a manageable house at a reasonable price outside the luxury segment.

In Dülmen, the new location is at the historical landmark of the city, the Lüdinghauser Tor. On the approximately 1,800 m² site, 50 age-appropriate apartments with a total living space of around 2,200 m² are now being built. All apartments will have a kitchenette as well as barrier-free bathrooms. The future tenants can therefore move in with their existing furniture. There will be 47 two-room apartments and three one-room apartments. Most of the apartments have a loggia or balcony.

Living with conveniences

Even at the new location in Dülmen, living at THE FLAG Senior Living can be combined with services if desired. They range from food and beverage service, cleaning and laundry service to cosmetic services and outpatient care and support services. Therefore, THE FLAG Senior Living Dülmen will be equipped with, among other things, a common room, counselling room and outdoor terrace. Services such as minor caretaker services, events or help with administrative activities are already included in the rent.

The construction will start in March 2022, completion is planned for mid-2023.

Further locations under development

THE FLAG undertakes the planning and development of its projects and later operates the houses itself. In the Senior Living segment, THE FLAG is currently developing houses at eight different locations. Here, a total of over 500 residential units with a living space of around 27,000 m² are planned. Two of the eight planned houses are being developed at foreign locations.
