Topping-out Ceremony for
Senior Living Dülmen

THE FLAG  Group realises another building for seniors

With the completion of the shell, workers from the construction company Oevermann celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the new Senior Living Dülmen together with guests and the developer THE FLAG today. The building is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023.

Work began in May 2021 with the demolition of the existing post office building. The shell of the building was then started in March 2022. Dr. Eike Muhr, Managing Director of THE FLAG, was pleased with the rapid progress of construction: "Corona, supply chain issues and the shortage of skilled labor are challenges for almost all new construction projects today." He added that the construction team can be proud of having managed all of this so superbly on schedule. Muhr highlighted the location of the new building: "The new residents are in the middle of life at Senior Living Dülmen - that's one way to describe this location. In 5 minutes, the future residents can reach a variety of shopping facilities and also local public transport."

The building, designed by Maas & Partner Architekten mbB, is located at the historic landmark of the city of Dülmen, the Lüdinghauser Tor. It consists of 50 age-appropriate apartments with a total living space of around 2,200 m². The new apartments are rental apartments. On offer are 47 two-room apartments and three one-room apartments. All apartments have a kitchenette and barrier-free bathrooms. The future tenants can move in with their existing furniture. Most of the apartments have a loggia or balcony.

Living with additional service

THE FLAG Dülmen is aimed at seniors who want to live independently, but would like amenities and support in everyday life. They can take advantage of a wide range of additional services. These range from food and beverage services, cleaning and laundry services, and cosmetic treatments to outpatient care. Other services such as minor janitor services, events or help with administrative tasks are already included in the monthly price, which starts at €900. "We want to enable our guests to have easy contact with each other and can still offer enough privacy in the apartments," says Eike Muhr. The concept therefore envisages a manageable number of apartments, as well as places for people to meet, such as a common room, consultation room or outdoor terrace.
