- that is and was our guiding principle in 2021: It was very important for us, how we can make the stay with us safe and pleasant for our guests. Corona has also been a topic in regard too overnight stays. That is why we are pleased that we have already been able to count over 31,000 arrivals in the Hotels & Serviced Apartments segment this year. We were also able to offer over 650 new guests a safe home in these times in our segments Senior Living and Student Living.
What other topics have accompanied us this year?
We published our first sustainability report this year. We have been ensuring the future viability of our family business for several years by paying attention to social demands, important trends and changing market requirements, also as part of the local community. In the further development of THE FLAG, in our ideas and solutions as well as in our daily actions, we are guided by the principles of good corporate governance as well as social and ecological responsibility, without losing sight of the economic perspective.
With THE FLAG Meiller Gärten, our hotel & serviced flat house with 152 apartments successfully opened in June. This means that we can now offer our guests in Munich overnight accommodation in two houses. We are also pleased about the cooperation with our partner Steiff.
Collect points while sleeping? Since autumn of this year, our guests have been able to do this in all our Hotels & Serviced Apartments and thus benefit from many great discounts and other advantages.
Our new Senior Living projects continue to gain momentum and in October we celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for our new project on the Spanish Costa del Sol. We are excited about the many new projects in this business field.
