buys property in Lugano, Switzerland

After the family business THE FLAG had purchased a property of about 2,260 m² in Massagno, Lugano, Switzerland, the Swiss authorities have now granted building rights for the planned construction project. The seller was a family from Ticino. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

A residential building for senior citizens is to be built there as well as on a neighbouring plot of land. A total of 56 barrier-free senior flats with many communal areas and 31 parking spaces have now been approved for the new location.

"Senior Living Lugano will have excellent connections," says Dr. Eike Muhr, managing director of THE FLAG. "It's only 5 minutes to the nearest bus stop, and after a short walk our guests can reach Lake Lugano."

The thoughtfully designed living space with a family atmosphere is suitable for those seniors who are looking for a new place to stay at a reasonable price outside the luxury segment as they age. With the existing business hotel THE FLAG Zurich, this is the second project the company is realizing in Switzerland. Three more residential buildings for senior citizens are currently under construction in Linz am Rhein, Dülmen and in the Spanish Estepona.

Massagno is located in the Lugano district of the canton of Ticino in Switzerland and, as a suburban community, borders directly on Lugano. The address of the property is Via Morena 7/Via Dunant, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland.
